24ASMXD34 - An Exploration of Folk Art through Mixed Media

Anabel Hadad

5/9—6/27, 8-weeks, 1—4 pm

Re-imagine folk art and challenge the ideas that distinguish it from the rest of the Western canon. Study the history of art and craft from throughout Appalachia to inform your mixed media art practices. Folk Art is regarded as an American tradition and students should feel encouraged to bring their diverse identities and apply their own personal experiences to their work.
